It seems the nations of the region are slowing grouping in two blocks. The "enlighten alliance" (which LEF is part of) and the aggressive warmongers (the others) and probably some non aligned countries. Will you guys be interested in RPing a space race or it's too late for that (considering it's the XXi century) and have already or are planning to write in your history that you've concurred the moon. I believe it would be a good way to compete without ending in nuke hell.
Sadly, as far I'm concerned, space exploration doesn't fit my RP profile. Sure, we'll be sending satellites (for commercial and military purposes) but that's about it.
NOTE: By space race I mean going to the moon/building a space station etc and not going full Star trek or colonizing the star system.

That's a cool idea. I personally won't do much with space, but with modern tech what's the best we have? ISS? That would be neat for people to stuff with space.

I'm think as a list of trophies/projects:
1. Manned mission to the Moon.
2. Space station.
3. Space shuttle or better said own means of sending astronauts to space.
4. Various probes to explore X planets, Y comet.
5. Unmanned Mars exploration
6. Preparing for but not achieving : Mars manned mission and Moon colony (2-5 people).

Yes certainly
My nation would love to put a person on the moon and at the least in outer space
We have already sent satellites up there but we're striving for more

We're modern tech but through RPing its fine to steadily advance technology
Also I'd have sattelites eventually but I wont be a major space nation unless we advance to future tech

Yeah one of my nations specialty is space tech

Our first astronaut, Sven Simonsson, is bound to go to space in 1-2 months time.
The Northern Kingdom Space Exploration Administration is run by 80% the government and 20% private corporations.
We have also launched a few satellites here and there.

Raijinshi has until now been pre-occupied with other researches in advanced arms to launch spacecraft, though thanks to a recent research agreement with Alpsol, the Legions first satellites take orbit.
