Welcome to Magnalucia! Happy to see you! Come introduce yourself and meet the others if you haven't already.
I am Ventalia, the Founder and Chief Cartographer of Magnalucia as well as the Administrator of the forum. If you need any help or guidance, feel free to shoot me a message.
>Map
>Regional Registration: also lists an overview of the region and some guidelines. Worth a look.
>RP Tips: A useful guide from the NationStates forum.
Overview
Magnalucia is a new casual, semi-realistic RP-oriented region. With your help and input, the region will grow into a vibrant community with various types of role-play and activity. All sorts of stories can unfold; alliances, political intrigue, wars, historical events, and character stories are all up to the players. While each nation is its own master, players should show a general respect for each other. Active discussion on the RMB is encouraged to flesh our ideas or find solutions to problems and concerns.
There are a few guidelines to the operations of Magnalucia:
>The region is MT by default; specific RPs may be whatever tech.
>Population, military, and economic caps will be enforced on a case-by-case basis in the name of fairness; no nation ought to single-handedly dominate all.
>The region is open humanoid multi-species nations.
>Magnalucia is not a puppet-dump, so nations should be active.
>Nations must create a simple wiki sidebar-style factbook entry outlining their RP stats and info, though a mini-map is optional and this can be done after joining. Example
>Members of the region may elect to eject a disruptive and disrespectful member via ostracization.
The regional map is largely free-form and players are allowed to draw their own borders and coasts within reason.
There are three rules governing the map:
>Rule of Residence: Only nations residing in Magnalucia may maintain a map claim. Nations that CTE or leave Magnalucia will lose their claims.
>Rule of Proximity: Nations seeking a claim may be rejected by their nearest neighbour(s) for cultural/RP reasons. The applicant may request a new claim.
>Rule of Attrition: Nations that block potentially fruitful RP by virtue of inactivity or ignoring inquiries and questions will be declared open territory for the sake of RP, thus jeopardizing their claim.
And just an FYI: you can edit your forum display name via your profile page. This way you can capitalize your name or add spaces. In any case, try to stick with something close to your RP name.
