Well, we can add rivers and mountains. Minor systems can be controlled by individual reasons, but continental features could be agreed on (like large rivers, lakes, and sprawling mountain regions) Forests and deserts as well, basic climates depending on region. Climate would have to be agreed upon by all because it wouldnt make sense to have drastic changes from one sphere to another, or within the same sphere.

Well, I could easily add major rivers to the map without much difficulty. Mountains and forests are more difficult and kind of go against the simple map format I'm aiming for. Of course, you can play with your own map section for your factbook.

So, sadly I dont have a tablet and thus cant do a whole lot of detail, but is it allowed to edit our regions and add our own general city locations, and terrain features to the map? Forest/plains/those kind of features would be a pain, but just doing a color to signify would be an easy way to do that. If we did that though, we'd have to change the boundry areas to lines as opposed to a full fill. I don't mind helping with that kind of stuff on the map, but again I'd be using a mouse so it wont be extraordinarily neat but it'd be nice enough.

Well, you can certainly do what you like with your map claim for the sake of your factbook or RPs, but the main regional map will largely remain in its simple format. So yes, go ahead and add cities and features as you like

What if there are 2 maps( permitting you have enough free-time)? The current political map, and a geographical map without nations on it so as to only need to make/post it once.

What do you guys use to make maps? You can use a number of programs, actually. MSPaint is fine for simple (if crude) maps, while programs like Paint.net and GIMP are more powerful options. In any case, you'll have to play around with them and discover how to use them. What if there are 2 maps( permitting you have enough free-time)? The current political map, and a geographical map without nations on it so as to only need to make/post it once. I'm not opposed to having multiple maps, but it's going to be difficult for me to do something of this scale for the time being. I also don't want to restrict players and their ideas for what their own nation is like. Alas, perhaps a good long-term project? Very Tolkeinian! Perhaps we could do something like that for the region as a whole.

I've got my map up on the RMB. I'm happy to undertake such a project either for the region as a whole or for individual nations. Only took about half a day, and doing it more means it'll only get faster!

So, is it fine if I claim the largest mountain in the region? I want to include it in my geography but something that includes the whole region I'd like to make sure everyone's ok with that. Thanks, Raijin

My nation is a tad mountainous. The forest is the predominant biome.
My highest peak is 6,052 m.
